I have found that when storm clouds gather in the sky I get horrid headaches and my under my eyes gets real puffy. Anyone else have this happen to them?
I think that it might be due to the increased pressure of the atmosphere. Just wish I knew what to do to stop it.

Iam hearing something new! The only thing which i can relate ...does any dust get into your eyes while there is a storm? Or what you are experiencing is a pshycolgical impact?

This is one that I haven't heard before.  The barometric pressure may be to blame however it could easily be a psycological cause as well.  If for some reason you don't like storms it could trigger stress or unease which will increase your blood pressure.  The increase in blood pressure could cause the capillaries under your eyes to leak or burst.  It could also be causing your headaches with the increase in blood flow and stress.
Keep researching to find the cause as I'm sure many of us would love to know too!

I wonder if your sinuses aren't draining.  Your sinuses are there to help your head cope with atmospheric changes.  I wonder if you are getting headaches and such because the pressure can't dissipate correctly.   You should talk to your doctor about it  -- maybe they could recommend a decongestant or something and it would take your problem away.

That is one thing that I have never heard of. I had no idea that storms had anything to do with dark circles. I will have to check this out next time it storms.

This makes perfect sense to me. My husband has major allergy attacks and we've discovered that when they are at their worst it means that a storm is coming. It's miserable for him, but his allergies are better then the local weatherman.

I guess that could be a blessing in disguise but one that could be done without.  It does make sense though.

Not hard to belive because i get joint pains when it gets cloudy. Its something with the atmosphere. Everything changes so it sometimes causes your body to change as well. I'm not surprised at all.
