| Have any of you tried those new mineral powders that they sell on QVC and the like? They're a bit pricey but may be worth it depending on how botheres you are by the dark circles. A friend of mine uses them to conceal her acne and I have to admit they do a pretty amazing job. I'd love to hear what you think of these powders! |

| I have tried them but I don't think that I am using them right or maybe that my skin is too oily. They look rather cakey and blotchy on me. |

I haven't tried them, and after reading your comment huntress2000 I doubt that I ever will. I'm not broke, but I also don't make enough money to buy expensive powders that don't work. (I'd much rather buy books I'll never read ) |

I've tried bare escentuals, its good in a sense that it provides light coverage and did not make me break out, but I have blotchy, acne prone skin and I needed a better coverage to even out the red post acne scars, it just didnt do the job. Then I tried pur minerals, great coverage, but I broke out so bad the next day, it just wasnt worth it.
Everyone keeps raving about everyday minerals, so I ordered that and waiting for it to come. The good thing about it is that its very inexpensive compared to other minerals and you can get a sample foundation/blush/concealer from them which will last a good bit , its free, you just have to pay $4 for shipping if you live in U.S.
I really loathe wearing makeup because it always feels so heavy and melty, especially in the heat. So thats why I think mineral makeup is the best for my skin. |

| I've been using bare escentuals and it's done quite a good job for me. I have acne prone skin as well, and I was quite impressed with the coverage it gave me and the improvement in my dark circles, even without the mineral bisque which is what is recommended as the concealer. I've never heard of everyday minerals though, I'll have to look into it. I would like to find something with a better price. In the past I haven't had to buy makeup every month and with bare escentuals I'm paying a monthly payment of about $30 I believe. |

| I really want to try the bare escentuals or another mineral product. I think with my skin coloring it would work well. I've seen that some of the major cosmetic companies are coming out out with mineral powders too. |

| No I have never used the mineral powder. I have seen it on yv, but just haven't decided if I want to try it or not. I juat want to think about it some before I buy any. Glad to hear that it really works good. |

| I've tried one from Wal-Mart, but I can't remember the brand (I bought the wrong color so I gave it to my sister) I really like it better than other make up, it was lighter. |

I have used the Bare Escentials brand of mineral make up as well.
It worked really well for me. For my wedding, by Maid of Horror...er Honor... also tried it.
She has always had bad adult acne & was amazed at how well it worked for her & bought some of her own ASAP!
It worked wonders for her & she though that since using it that she had less skin problems.
Perhaps it only works that well for some people.
As for dark circle coverage.
It does wonders for me, but I will admit that after 2 years,
it started to cause a mild break out.
I looked at the bottom of the container & found out that it had expired about 1 year ago!
Granted, I found no such expiration date on the mineral veil.
I suspect that the thing that expires is the sunblock...
Just don't get it too close to your lashes.
Sunblock hurts like the dickens when you get it in your eyes!!! |
