One of my friend say that a sleeping between 11pm and 3am would definitely help us to prevent dark circles and eye bags. Sounds silly to me. Opinion in this regard would be welcome.

I don't know if it's true or not, that's certainly one I haven't heard before. I always heard that you needed to get a full eight hours of sleep to prevent dark bags from forming.

Do you mean sleeping from 11pm to 3am, or going to sleep any time between those times? I can tell you that I've gotten dark circles from having 4 hours of sleep, as well as going to sleep at 3am!

I work nights, so I am frequently awake during 11PM and 3 AM. I don't find that I look worse when I work nights, but I definitely look worse when I don't sleep well the next day. For me, as long as I am getting 8-9 hours of sleep a night my circles aren't too bad. It doesn't matter what time I sleep but how long I am sleeping.

I have never heard this before. I think that it would be more about the amount you sleep not really the time that you do it. I know some night owls who are up way past 3 am and do not have circles.

I worked nights for awhile, too, in the days before the "Do Not Call" list came about. I'd just have fallen into a nice, peaceful, REM sleep when some idiot would call and ask me if I wanted vinyl siding for my house (I was living in a rented apartment at the time!). It was SO frustrating, and then I couldn't get back to sleep. I always seemed to have huge circles under my eyes, but as long as I did my job, my co-workers didn't seem to mind (actually, they looked about as exhausted as I always felt, so I suspect they had the same problems I did). |

I have never really heard of this. I have heard that if you don't get enough sleep it can cause dark circles. But never certain times.

I have worked day shifts, night shifts and afternoon shifts, which pretty much shifted my sleeping cicles all over the place. My circles where always there no matter when I slept. The only difference seemed to be in a lack of sleep or lack of quality sleep.
