Hi people, I've been plague with dark circles all my life. I'm 21 this year and I chanced upon this website and happened to clicked onto a page where the author mentioned about Dr Seckel . Out of curiousity, I emailed him on my condition and enquired on the prices. He does treatments of dark circles which he called it eyelid rejuvenation and correction of dark eye circles under the eye by a surgery namely arcus marginalis release with fat repositioning blepharoplasty. I'm assuming the surgery includes removing of dark circles as well as eye bags under the eyes. He told me in his reply of my email that the surgery would cost an approx. USD$10,000. I've since calculated on my side (I'm from Asia btw) and the total cost for flying over to Boston where he practiced,together with the hotel and daily expenses for 10 days would top to about USD$15,000 and more. I don't know how reliable is Dr Seckel. Is he worth the cost? I would appreciate any opinions. Has anyone heard of good reviews of him? Thanks and I hope we can all find a cure for this once and for all.

Sorry for late reply.

I'm from Asia as well. I've chat with Dr. Seckel for few times and I think he is trustworthy.  He did sent me few of his patients before and after pictures and I think their dark circles are almost gone. ( Of coz I think my dark circles are more serious than them. )

Once a year ( if not mistaken, Dr. Seckel would come to India to perform the dark circles surgery. )  I hope it helps!

You really would like to see the following:

1) "Before and after" photos of random samples of patients (not just the ones with the best results)
2) "Before and after" photos taken at different angles, in different light.

My main point is that both the "results" from one patient to the next (and even between different photos/angles, etc. of the same person) can vary dramatically.

Basically, true objectivity is of immense value here, especially at those prices.
