OK so I've had these horrible dark circles under my eyes for about 2 months now, I'm 14 year old male and it's knocking my confidence. Every morning I look in the mirror and they're there - I hate them!! They look worse in daylight. I never used to have them.

I've tried:

- sudocrem (not worked)
- tea bags (not worked)
- cucumbers (still trying atm)
- relaxation
- vitamin with iron tablets (still trying atm)

EVERYTHING that there is to try!!! and they WONT GO AWAY! I really can't live with this.

I used to go to a sunbed because I had acne on my forehead, and I've been to about 8-9 sunbed sessions. I heard that sun damage causes dark circles - how do you get rid of them after sun damage then?? I'll try ANYTHING!

Please help me, I can't live with these any longer Sad

hi jcr. unfortunately, i have dark circles too, and after about two months worth of researching i have concluded that there isnt a miracle cream or solution that will work. i am 13, and mine are definately caused by allergies. what allergies do is they cause nasal and sinus congestion (maybe even a sinus infection, or sinusitis). this alone can lead to many different reasons. im really sorry to say that you might have to deal with these for a long time, and until you find the root of this problem, nothing will help. my advice is to google reasons for dark circles. peace

hi guys, I just want to say I know exactly how you feel. I was around 12 or 13 when my circles got really, really dark and nothing I did got rid of them. Now I'm 19 and they're still there Sad. But I would suggest that you keep a healthy diet, exercise, and keep the eye area moisturized by using a good eye cream. Finding out what type of circles you have will also help determine how to get rid of them.
For example, are your circles caused by:
1. darker skin colour under your eyes? Then this is pigmentation, which you might be able to remove using a skin lightener.
2. Allergies? Try to get rid of your allergies or take medication to help, which might help remove congestion in your nose and thus allow blood to drain through veins, diminishing dark circles.
3. Genetics: Do others in your family have dark circles? this might be why you have them too.
4. Leaking capillaries and blood pooling under skin which shows through thin skin. I have heard of various creams and other ways to remove circles caused by this, but i haven't had success yet. But maybe you could certain creams (vitamin k, hylexin) or try yoga (inverted stances to bring blood to head), and basically search the internet for other methods that might work for you.

There are more reasons for dark circles but I won't list them all, but you can always contact a doctor or dermatologist to determine if you have allergies to any foods, or if you are lacking in any vitamins to see if that is the cause. Good luck!
