What a great selection of articles.  I cicn't know that there could be a connection between dark circles and liver or kidney trouble, but it makes sense since the skin is so thin under the eye that the blood vessels are closer to the surface and, there fore, more visible.

I always figured it was probably from lack of sleep or lack of some sort of vitamin necessary to your body. Luckily most of the darkness under my eyes has disappeared.

I'm very very fair so what would be slight or even unobserved in others, seems very dark on me. Those articles gave me some great ideas for getting rid of them. Thanks!

I have dark circles under my eyes. I hate them. But I think it runs in my family. Because all the women in my family have the dark circles.

I have dark circles however they are different on each eye, sort of.  I do get dark circles when I'm very tired from working so much and not sleeping as I should.  This happens under both eyes and this is understandable.  However, the darkness below my left eye has been a constant for several years now.  I got this after having a severely abcessed tooth that caused my face to swell.  The left side of my face swelled enough to push the corner of my mouth over and close my left eye nearly all the way.  Needless to say I was miserable and now have a permanent "black eye" from that.

I'm going to see if any of the other reasons may be the cause of the "tired" circles but, since I'm always tired, I figured it was that.
