The best makeup tip I could give to someone trying to hide dark circles would be to use either a yellow based concealer, or one specifically for undereyes. Apply it not only to the undereye but to the corners of your eyes by the nose, where you would pinch if you had a headache. Blend it downward toward the cheekbone. If I use a good concealer this almost always does the trick for coverage.

That is a good tip. Using that method, I haven't had too many problems. You just have to remember to not cake the concealer on.

I find concealer works best when you dab on tiny little dots under your eyes, then blend.

Try gently patting with one finger to blend the concealer. I have found that this works really rather well though I was very skeptical at first with it. You can "pat" down towards where you are needing it and it really will spread. This will also keep you from bursting any more capillaries with too much rubbing.
